Racing Cabinet
Xbox360 Cabinet
I've always wanted a dedicated racing arcade cabinet. The problem is that I didn't want to get
locked into one game. Also, arcade games have mediocre graphics as compared to the
current generation of consoles.
I decided to attempt to build a custom arcade cabinet with a console inside. My next big
decision was to choose between a PS3 and an Xbox360. I have both consoles and by far I
prefer the XBox360. It also has more racing games at the moment. That decision was made
fairly fast.
I was able to track down a cabinet from my friends at the Pinball Palace. The cabinet was from
a Hydro Thunder.
My equipment list is as follows:
- Viewsonic 27" Widescreen LCD
- Xbox360 Pro
- Xbox360 Racing Wheel
- Integra DTR-9.1 Receiver
- JL Audio TR525-CX Coaxial Speakers (Left/Center/Right)
- JL Audio TR350-CX Coaxial Speakers (Rears)
- Sony 10" Powered Subwoofer
- Rockford Fosgate PWR-68 Subwoofer (attached to seat)
- Aura bass shaker pro
- Wired IR repeater

For the front speakers I used the existing cut outs and made an
additional cut out for the center channel.
